The Sociologist Submission Guidelines
The Sociologist is an open-access publication supported by the District of Columbia Sociological Society (DCSS) and George Mason University’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology that aims to offer a magazine of public sociology to a general audience. Contributors are encouraged to consider current events/issues/research in the Washington, D.C. area through a sociological lens and write for a wide readership.
Submissions should be:
- related to sociology and the DC area
- punchy and jargon-free
- a maximum 4 pages single spaced (no minimum requirement)
- formatted in ASA style
- accompanied by at least 2 visuals with proper citations
